Adapter Sleeves are designed to mitigate gaps left between bearings and shaft diameters of dissimilar sizes. Sleeves are the most popular component for locating bearings with tapered bores onto cylindrical seats. Once mounted on the sleeve, lock nuts are used to clamp the bearing in place. These sleeves are ideal for use on smooth shafts and stepped shafts and can be used when welding to conform different apparatuses to best fit one another.
